InfiniSource.com:
Popular Internet Resource Center welcomes 10 millionth visitor
Portland, Oregon... April 18, 2001 -- Just a little more than two years after the launch of its expanded online resource center, InfiniSource.com welcomed its 10 millionth visitor to the site. Founded by Joseph Burke in 1996 under the name of NetPro NorthWest, the company incorporated and changed its name to InfiniSource, Inc., registered the domain, and merged with Windows-Help.NET in early 1999.
The new expanded web site was launched in March 1999 and had already logged several million visitors by the dawn of the new millenium. Traffic has continued to rise steadily as it has reached the current level of roughly 450,000 visitors a month.
In August 1999, InfiniSource spun off its growing software division to a new domain, Rose City Software. Starting with just a couple new shareware titles, the selection has grown to more than a dozen highly acclaimed titles including Windows utilities, connectivity software and financial offerings. Popular titles like TweakDUN, DU Meter, ClipCache, FileSplit, The Sleuthhound and Tweaking ToolBox for Windows have all developed a loyal userbase, and newer offerings like SynchroMagic, QuickRun, TradeTrakker, Easy-Budget and Magic Notes, all continue to attract new customers to Rose City Software.
The staff at InfiniSource has grown to more than a dozen dedicated individuals, in addition to President/CEO Joseph Burke and Vice President of Information Systems Arie Slob. Site contributors now include Vice President of Software Development Paul Mayer, Senior Account Development Managers Chris Parnell, Eric Salmassy and Don Watkins, Chief Financial Officer Elizabeth Mahedy, editors Sandra Underhill and Lee Madajczyk and Chief Support Technician Marvin Aultman.
With more than 1400 Web pages the popular site reflects the staff's ongoing committment to provide an up-to-date Resource Center that transforms passive data into active information... what has been aptly described by Michael Dertouzos of M.I.T. as "information-as-a-verb".
The Windows-Help Division of InfiniSource has expanded to include separate Departments for Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000 and the new Windows XP. Free online help is provided for users of these operating systems through the Windows-Help.NET BBS system operated and maintained by VP of Information Systems Arie Slob.
Editor Sandra Underhill provides a constant flow of new and interesting articles on virtually every topic imagineable in the Computer and Internet World offering fascinating reading for the visitors to this site.
In a challenging time when Dot.coms are facing cutbacks and folding at unprecedented rates, InfiniSource continues to prosper. "Unlike so many other Internet Portals which tried to grow at unsustainable rates," explains Joseph Burke, "InfiniSource has continued to climb quietly upwards in terms of content, value and variety, while keeping our focus on what we do best... Resources and Information for the Online World."
